Comments :
In the beginning of the 10° century, for an unknown reason, the King Jayavarman IV moved the Khmer capital from Roluos towards Kohker. During twenty years, this site was the object of a very great number of constructions and Prasat Thom which one usually visits is only one very small part of immense Kohker.
Prasat Thom is appeared as very large and majestic pyramid of seven levels whose only last stage is damaged.
The staircases are extremely abrupt and required the addition of wooden staircases to be practicable and the immense sight on the surrounding countryside that one has at the top of this pyramid is a reward for those which will have climbed!
The entrance fee is 10 $ per person.

A début du 10° siècle, pour une raison inconnue, le Roi Jayavarman IV déplaça la capitale Khmère de Roluos vers Kohker. Durant vingt années, ce site fut l'objet d'un très grand nombre de constructions et le Prasat Thom que l'on visite habituellement n'est qu'une toute petite partie de l'immense Kohker.
Prasat Thom se présente sous la forme d'une très grande et majestueuse pyramide de sept niveau dont seul le dernier étage est abîmé.
Les escaliers sont extrêmement abrupts et ont nécessité l'adjonction d'escaliers en bois pour être praticables et l'immense vue sur la campagne environnante que l'on a au sommet de cette pyramide est une récompense pour celui qui aura tout escaladé !
