Comments:
Great classic of the site of Angkor , a splendid avenue overhanging the ditches of Angkor Thom, framed giants who carry Naga. At the bottom, the door itself, in good condition, with three towers with the four faces looking towards the four cardinal points.
Many heads of giants were ransacked, and those which remain are often copies reconstituted remarkably well.
The other doors of Angkor Thom, north, east, western and victory gate, are on the same model, but the southern door is generally the first which peole sees, it is often a shock for the visitor, but also a treat for the photographer.

Un grand classique du site d'Angkor, une magnifique allée surplombant les douves d'Angkor Thom, encadrée des géants qui portent un Naga. Au fond, la porte elle-même, en bon état, au somment de laquelle se trouve trois tours avec quatre faces regardant vers les quatre points cardinaux.
De nombreuses têtes de géants ont été saccagées, et celles qui restent sont souvent des copies remarquablement bien reconstituées.
Les autres portes de Angkor Thom, nord, est, ouest et victory gate, sont sur le même modèle, mais la porte sud est généralement la première que l'on voit, c'est souvent un choc pour le visiteur, mais aussi un régal pour le photographe.
